This role entails creating and refining materials for characters, environments, and props, ensuring consistency and adherence to the established art direction. Collaboration with various departments, problem-solving related to shading and texturing challenges, and contributing to the evolution of the look development process are key responsibilities.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br>● Work with other asset departments to create realistic or stylised looks for 3D assets of various styles and complexities<br>● Collaborate with Texture artists to achieve the desired look<br>● Follow the project's art direction and style guides, and contribute your own ideas and suggestions<br>● Deliver high-quality work on time and participate in reviews<br>● Communicate effectively with team members and proactively bring up suggestions and issues<br>● Address feedback notes and take initiative to improve the work both artistically and technically<br>● Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of assets in varying lighting scenarios<br>● Maintain references and use proper colorspace workflows<br>● Solve problems and assist other artists with technical issues<br>● Work within the show's framework, structure, and pipeline, and propose new ways to improve the work and workflow<br>● Optimize scenes to run efficiently, and create simple variation and instancing setups</p> <p><strong>What we need to see</strong><br>● A portfolio that showcases strong artistic skills and technical abilities<br>● Solid understanding of shading, lighting, and rendering techniques<br>● Proficient in look development software like Katana, Maya, Arnold, or other rendering software<br>● Intermediate lighting and general compositing experience a plus<br>● Proficient knowledge of Linux/UNIX and basic shell scripting, with knowledge of Python being a plus<br>● Working knowledge of paint software such as Mari, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Mudbox, ZBrush, and Substance Designer<br>● Good understanding of colorspace workflows<br>● Strong problem solving, organization, communication, and teamwork skills<br>● 3-4+ years of production experience</p> <p><span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"The anticipated base salary for an Senior position is $45.34 to $65.10.
